We recently travelled to The Netherlands to see what new varieties of stone fruits are coming into season. The Netherlands have some of the best quality produce available in Europe and it was great to meet the local suppliers and learn more about how they operate. After a productive meeting with pear suppliers in Amsterdam, we headed off to Rotterdam to see what other stone fruits Holland had to offer!
Visiting fruit farms and building direct relationships with these suppliers allows us to have a greater involvement in the supply chain of our fruit and as a result, deliver better fruit boxes to our clients. Increasing transparency in the supply chain is a goal of ours so expect to see more trips like this in the future!
