What's the Difference Between a Fruit Box and a Snack Box?
When customers first come to The Fruit People, one of the most common questions we get is: What's the difference between the fruit box and the snack box - and which one is right for our office? The honest answer is that they serve slightly different purposes, and many offices end up with both.
The Fruit Box: Fresh, Seasonal, Simple
Our fruit boxes are exactly what they sound like: a selection of fresh, seasonal fruit curated to give your team variety throughout the week.
Fruit boxes are ideal for offices that want a clean, healthy option in the kitchen - something everyone can grab without thinking. They're also the most straightforward product to manage: one delivery, one price point, minimal admin. Boxes are sized to suit your team, from small offices of five or six people right up to large corporate floors with 100+.
The Snack Box: Variety for Every Taste
Snack boxes take things a step further. As well as fresh fruit, they include a curated mix of premium snacks - think mixed nuts, protein bars, rice cakes, oat biscuits, dark chocolate, and other options that keep well and satisfy a wider range of cravings throughout the day.
Snack boxes are popular with tech companies and fast-paced offices where people are eating at their desks, working long hours, or simply want more variety than fruit alone provides. They're also a good fit for offices with diverse dietary needs, as we take care to include options that suit common preferences including gluten-free and vegan.
Can I Mix and Match?
Many of our customers order a fruit box as their core delivery and add a snack box - or individual pantry items - on top, and even add dairy, coffee, tea, and beverages to create a fully managed office refreshments service. Everything arrives in one delivery, one invoice.
Not Sure Which to Choose?
Our team is always happy to help you figure out the right combination for your office size and culture. We can also arrange a free sample box so you can taste the quality before committing to anything. Most customers who try a sample are placing their first regular order within the week.
